Lightbox Viewer
2.5.0-beta.3
In Edit Mode, hide objects that are hidden by the visibility icon in the scene hierarchy tab.
Fix object change events should no longer trigger in Play Mode, which was causing errors in the logs.
2.5.0-beta.2
Fix an issue with URP Adaptive Probe Volumes in additive scenes that was causing lilToon 2.3.0 previews to be incorrect.
- Fix default lighting data was negatively affecting Adaptive Probe Volumes in additive scenes:
- Default scenes have a default lighting data asset assigned to it.
- This default lighting data causes the render to look different, and this is most noticeable on lilToon 2.3.0.
- Fix by checking if the scene currently uses the default lighting data. If it does, set it to null for the duration of the lightbox usage.
- This should fix https://github.com/hai-vr/lightbox-viewer-urp/issues/1 in Lightbox Viewer URP.
2.5.0-beta.1
Lightbox Viewer is now compatible with:
- BIRP Light Probes.
- BIRP VRCLV.
- URP Adaptive Probe Volumes.
- URP Light Probes.
Add support for URP Light Probes:
- If URP is the current render pipeline, switch to a different scene if the Quality settings use Light Probes instead of Adaptive Probe Volumes.
- If URP is in the project, detect when Quality settings change.
Unlike suggested in previous alpha versions, this is still not compatible with macOS, as the compatibility attempt has failed.
Previous change logs from alpha versions repeated in chronological order, without macOS changes:
From 2.4.1-alpha.1:
- Change Edit mode strategy for performance:
- Previously, Edit Mode was copying the avatar every frame, so that we don't accidentally cause the avatar to be modified.
- This change now copies the avatar to a hidden GameObject in the hierarchy and marked non-saved, if the reference to the Object To View does not change.
- Use object change events to detect when anything changes in the scene. If there is any change that pertains to a non-transform, we destroy the copied object and create a new one.
- This copied object is moved 10_000 units downwards between render cycles.
- Don't disable the original avatar between render cycles, because enabling the avatar is slow.
- In the copy, remove the Animators, because they take time to bind and we don't need them.
From 2.4.1-alpha.2:
- Add support for URP projects:
- Detect when the project is BIRP.
- If it is not BIRP, don't suggest installing the Post-Processing V2 package.
- If it is not BIRP, load the URP scene, even if the Light Volumes package is installed.
From 2.5.0-alpha.2:
- Attempt an optimization that removes the need for copying the texture from the GPU to the CPU.
From 2.5.0-alpha.3:
- Try to fix an issue where the depth was affecting how the view was rendered in a Unity 6.2 Basis project.
